Meet Ray Dhaliwal

Ray Dhaliwal brings decades of dedicated service to the Kamloops community. As a fourth-generation Kamloopsian and lifelong resident, he has built his career on a foundation of integrity and a deep commitment to the people of the region. Having owned and operated Ray’s Lock and Key and Brown’s Locksmith for over 40 years, his leadership is rooted in the belief that strong civic governance is the cornerstone of a safer, stronger Kamloops for everyone.

 

Ray operates on a "Triple A" standard, promising to be Accountable, Approachable, and Accessible to all residents.

Ray has been a consistent fixture in local advocacy, event organization, and cultural support throughout Kamloops. His involvement includes:

  • Leadership: Serving as President of the Kamloops Multicultural Society for over 15 years.

  • Event Organizing: Helping coordinate major city events, including the local Canada Day celebrations and Folk Fest.

  • Advocacy & Memberships: Serving as a Past Board Member of the Centre for Seniors Information Centre, a Member of the Ana Vets, a Member of The Kamloops Sikh Cultural Society, and a Past Member of the North Kamloops Rotary Club.

Mayoral Campaign Goals

Ray is focused on delivering practical, community-first solutions to City Hall. His primary objectives include:

  • Keeping municipal taxes and spending under control.

  • Creating a safe and secure community.

  • Providing robust support for both seniors and youth.

  • Ensuring affordable housing for everyone.

  • Making a measurable, positive impact on the community.
